Puzzling story

Hi everyone, this is Paul Cameron at my desk in the WBTV Newsroom.

In the midst of our ice storm comes a story that left us puzzled.  A good Samaritan stopped to help a stranded motorist.  Neighbors heard wheels spinning and came out of their homes to see what they could do.  But the stranded driver became belligerent, then pulled a gun and shot the Samaritan dead.  Police used and armored car and shields to force the shooter out of the car.

If you’ve got a flight out of Charlotte tomorrow, make sure to check with the airlines first.  American says it will resume limited flights after 12:00 noon.  A lot is contingent on how much more snow we might get and how soon the airline can gets its planes de-iced and ready.

The Panthers didn’t seem to mind today’s weather.  They bounced and danced through practice as they get ready to face Arizona Sunday for the NFC Championship.  The Cardinals intend to fly into Charlotte tomorrow afternoon.  But many fans across the country are stuck and probably won’t make it in.

By this time tomorrow, Washington, DC and Philadelphia will be buried under as much as 2 feet of snow.  Glad I live this far south.

Have a great weekend, and, Go! Cats!
