Most Panthers fans don't need another reason to love linebacker Luke Kuechly, but video of his interaction with 9-year-old Jackson will give you one more.

Jackson, a huge fan of the Carolina Panthers and Luke Kuechly, was at the Panthers' practice Wednesday when some of the players stopped to interact with the fans.

Kuechly was signing autographs and taking photos when he came up to Jackson.

"Good luck during the game," Jackson said while handing Kuechly a jet black Pinewood Derby car. "You can have it."

The car had a hand-drawn Panthers logo and Kuechly's number, 59, painted on it. Kuechly's name was written down the side.

"Are you sure? What if I sign it for you and you get it back?" Kuechly asked.

Jackson insisted that Kuechly could keep the winning vehicle. His mom, Brice, told WBTV the vehicle won three heats in Jackson's Cub Scout Pinewood Derby and placed third for design.

"I had to build one of these when I was a little guy," Kuechly told Jackson. "I'll hang it in my locker. What do you think?"

Kuechly then asked Jackson for his signature, searching the crowd for a silver Sharpie to be able to sign the vehicle.

"Boom, Jackson, I like it," he said when the young boy finished signing.

The pair ended the exchange with a high-five before Kuechly gave Jackson a pair of Panthers gloves.

"It's commodity trading," Kuechly joked. Jackson can be heard saying "Oh my gosh, this is totally awesome!"

Jackson has pretty much been wearing the gloves non-stop, his mom told WBTV Tuesday.

Brice says Jackson has been to practice several times and has been able to meet and get Kuechly's signature three or four times.

"Luke is very patient with the kids every time," Brice recalls. "That's important. These are interactions that the children will remember for the rest of their lives, getting to meet their favorite players."

"Being able to live this close to his favorite team, I'm going to try and take him as much as possible," she said. "Not many people in America have that ability."

Jackson was wearing the gloves Sunday while watching the Panthers' 31-24 win against the Seattle Seahawks to advance to the NFC Championship Game this Sunday, in Charlotte.

Kuechly pulled a "pick six" in the game, making an interception and running it 14 yards for a touchdown.

"Everyone was telling Jackson that's he's Luke's good luck charm," Brice said.
