NFL relocations

Hi everyone, this is Paul Cameron at my desk in the WBTV Newsroom.

Snow dusting the mountains and a chill wind dropping our temperatures to the lower 20’s tonight.  Winter was late this year, but the Old Man is making his presence known.

Remember when NC State product Roman Gabriel stood tall in the pocket for the LA Rams?  Gabriel’s playing days are long over, but the Rams were given permission to leave St. Louis and head west to the city of the angels.  They may wind up sharing a new stadium with the San Diego Chargers.  But if the Chargers resist, then the Raiders may be invited for a move south.

A Maiden man is accused of driving drunk and mowing down headstones at a local cemetery.  Officials say he caused more than $50,000 in damage.

Although Charlotte City Council voted 7-4 in favor of the I-77 toll lanes, the fat lady has yet to sing.  State Representative Tricia Cotham tonight tweeted the House will draw a bill to kill the project when the legislature re-convenes in April.

By this time tomorrow, the Powerball Jackpot will be well over $1.5 Billion.  If we divided it equally among all 300,000 American citizens, each person would get $5.

Please join Eric, Molly Grantham, Delano Little and me for WBTV News at 11:00!
