ROCK HILL, S.C. (WBTV) -

Tickets to see Donald Trump at Winthrop Coliseum Friday night are sold out, according to the GOP presidential candidate's event website.

Winthrop University says the coliseum seats more than 6,000 people and there won't be an empty seat at Trump's Rock Hill rally.

When Trump shows up at the event Friday, it will mark his first visit to Rock Hill. Eight other presidential candidates have already visited the campus.

Including tonight's expected sell out, Winthrop University will have welcomed more than 15,000 people to it's campus this campaign season to listen to presidential candidates.

The stop in Rock Hill is an important one because the audience is normally split from two different states.

"Being in Rock Hill, you're going to get a North Carolina audience and a South Carolina audience," said Scott Huffmon, who runs the Winthrop Poll. "It's even more important for a long term strategy."

Right now, Trump leads most national GOP polls by double digits and according to a CBS News poll published last month, he has a 15-point lead in South Carolina.

Doors open to the Winthrop Coliseum at 4:30 p.m., with the event scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
