Sixteen to sixty

Hi everyone, this is Paul Cameron at my desk in the WBTV Newsroom.

An even colder night on tap tonight.  Eric Thomas is predicting low teens by morning.  But Eric says after tomorrow, we’re going to rebound back to the 60’s by the weekend.

Better news tonight for opponents of the controversial I-77 toll lanes.  Mecklenburg’s Board of Commissioners voted overwhelmingly against the project after Commissioner Jim Puckett implored his peers to break the contract.  Members tell us Governor McCrory should now step in.

An employee of a nursing home in Mooresville arrested tonight and accused of raping a woman he was taking care of.  Reporter Coleen Harry will give us the latest in a live report.

The Mecklenburg animal care center is now putting coats and jackets on shelter dogs to keep them warm.  The organization says it can put any of your old coats to good use.

Want to earn $1,000?  Help Michael Jordan’s daughter, Jasmine, find her lost dog.  The 23-year old lives in Charlotte and has posted pictures on her Twitter page.

Please join Eric, Molly Grantham, Delano Little and me for WBTV News at 11:00!
