Church warning

Hi everyone, this is Paul Cameron at my desk in the WBTV Newsroom.

Divers in a lake near the site of the mass murders in San Bernardino, California, pulled up items tonight.  Sources say they are looking for hard drives the radicalized Islamic shooters may have dumped before killing 14 innocent people.

Because of that terrorist attack, St. Matthew Catholic Church in Charlotte is telling parishioners not to bring large bags to services anymore.  They also plan to have police officers on duty during church hours.

Don’t bring anything but the small, clear NFL bags to Sunday’s Panthers game.  The city has designated it an “extraordinary event” which means tighter security and puts many more officers watching the crowd both inside and outside the stadium.

Despite our predicted 70-degree-plus weekend, Eric Thomas says the other shoe will fall by this time next week.  He’s seeing temperatures dropping 30-40 degrees after a very cold front arrives.  Right now, that front is dropping inches of snow on Yosemite National Park which has been in a drought for the past four years.

Please join Eric, Molly Grantham, Delano Little and me for WBTV News at 11:00!
