Nasty bug?

Hi everyone, this is Paul Cameron at my desk in the WBTV Newsroom.

100 students didn’t make class today at Antioch Elementary in Matthews.  What appears to be a nasty bug is causing stomach pain and vomiting.  The Health Department is trying to find out what’s caused all the absences.

In Cornelius tonight, shots fired during a robbery at the Citgo station just off exit 28 on East Catawba Avenue.  Police are right now searching for suspects.

The FBI has divers in a lake about three miles away from the site of last week’s mass murder in San Bernardino, California.  They aren’t saying what evidence they’re looking for, but whatever it is, could take days to find.

Several cadets at The Citadel in Charleston were suspended tonight after a controversial photo showing them in white sheets with pillowcase over their heads.  The cadets claim they were dressed as ghosts and singing Christmas carols.  But there are those who see a strong resemblance to KKK attire.

The teenager knocked out cold by a thrown baseball last night is recovering the hospital and doing well, according to his coach.  He’s staying the night for observation.
