BLOG: On the Road with WBTV Sports-- Dallas Wednesday

It's Wednesday and at this moment, the Panthers should be in Dallas and getting settled into their hotel.

On the fans front, Ashley Stroehlein and I ran into 3 fans who left Charlotte last night at 9 and arrived in Big D at 3 pm.  Dedicated fans who said they would not miss this for the world.

We are expecting more fans later as the "Roaring Riot" will be in town around 7 pm and they are coming to have a good time as they will have a party at Billy Bob's Texas.

But ultimately, the game is what everyone is coming to see and the big hope is that the Panthers will go to 11-0 with a win over the Cowboys.

A big key to that will be the Panthers ability to get a pass rush on Dallas' QB Tony Romo.

You would think that wouldn't be a problem as the Cats are coming off a 5 sack performance last week against Washington.

Another reason for high hopes is the return of Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson who missed 8 weeks recovering from a hamstring injury.

He says he is just ready to hit someone because it has been a long road back.

But the reality is the Dallas offensive line is one of the best in the NFL  Also, Dallas is 3-0 when Romo plays.

He is healthy after returning from a broken clavicle last week.  He will start his 2nd straight game after leading the Cowboys to a win over Miami last Sunday.

Bottom line, this is going to be a battle as the Dallas offense has the potential to be high scoring with Romo, but if that Panthers pass rush is on point and clicking, this may be a Thanksgiving to remember for Carolina and a nightmare of Dallas.
