A man wanted in several armed robberies across the WBTV viewing area was arrested Thursday, according to Waxhaw Police.

Scott Alton Hill, 61, is charged with three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Police say after they located Hill, he voluntarily went with them to police headquarters to be interviewed.

During that interview, police said, Hill confessed to the robberies.

The first robbery happened around 12:30 p.m. on October 7 at the Walgreens Pharmacy in Waxhaw. Police have not released details about that robbery.

The second robbery happened around 10:45 a.m. on October 22, at the Walgreens Pharmacy on the 11200 block of W. Providence Road in Charlotte. The clerk told police that the robber showed a firearm and demanded property.

Another robbery happened on November 7, at the Harris Teeter on Lancaster Highway. Police said the man approached the pharmacy, pulled out a gun and demanded property. After obtaining the property, he ran off.

A fourth robbery took place Wednesday, November 18, at the CVS Pharmacy on the 6400 block of Rea Road in Charlotte. In that case, the man also robbed the pharmacy at gunpoint.

Investigators have said they believe Hill is responsible for all four robberies.
