Record rain

Hi everyone, this is Paul Cameron at my desk in the WBTV Newsroom.

You may be watching the Panthers tonight-- why not switch over for a quick burst of today’s news at 11:00?

Rain is the big story.  A record day of rainfall.  Creeks are overflowing, trees have fallen over in soggy ground and one neighborhood was completely cut off because of street flooding.  Eric Thomas will tell us when Mother Nature will shut it down.

A new computer-generated photo released tonight of Erica Parsons, the Rowan County girl who was last seen in 2011, but not reported missing until 2013.  She would be 17-years old now and we’ll show you what that age-progression photo looks like.

We’re also talking to a mother in the Stonehaven neighborhood who claims she found two needles in her kid’s Halloween candy.  She’s filed a police report.

Think you can look at a picture and help police catch a pair of armored car robbers?  We’ve got a picture of the two who hit a Loomis Fargo truck on Albemarle Road.

Tomorrow is Election Day, don’t forget to exercise your constitutional right to vote.

Please join Molly Grantham, Eric Thomas, Delano Little and me for WBTV News at 11:00 tonight!
