50/50 weekend ahead

Hi everyone, this is Paul Cameron at my desk in the WBTV Newsroom.

Tonight, we’ve learned more about the hit-and-run that killed an 11-year old boy while waiting at his school bus stop in Chester. The grandmother of a girl standing nearby says after running over the boy, the driver stopped and looked back, then kept going. Tonight, 57-year old Michelle Johnson has bonded out of jail.

More flooding in Texas tonight hitting Austin and San Antonio with 16 inches of rain in the past two days. It means we’re in for a beautiful Saturday, but rain on Sunday and into Monday. Eric Thomas is refining his First Alert Forecast for Monday’s Panthers game against the Colts.

Check your pantry for this—16-ounce jars of Skippy reduced fat creamy peanut butter may have metal shards. There were sold at Publix and Walmart stores. The company has announced a recall.

A wild scene in Arizona—a 25-foot, 350 pound decorative jack-o-lantern broke free in a strong wind, rolling into traffic. You can imagine what drivers thought when confronted with a huge orange ball headed their way.

Please join Molly Grantham, Eric Thomas, Delano Little and me for WBTV News at 11:00 tonight!
