CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, SC (WBTV) - A teenager has been charged with attempted murder following a weekend shooting at a Chesterfield trailer park that left two people dead and a third in the hospital.
According South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), 19-year-old Marques Wanya Tyson has been charged with attempted murder following the shooting Sunday night.
Deputies say three people were shot near Evans Mill Road and investigators got a call about gunfire and shouting around 7:30 p.m. Sunday night.
Thirty-three-year-old Shannon Rasheal Little was killed in the shooting, officials say. A second person, Tyvon Terrell Threatt, was later pronounced dead Monday afternoon.
According to investigators, shots were exchanged between deputies and 27-year-old Rashawn Montez Little when deputies arrived at the home.
Rashawn Little drove away and crashed before running into a wooded area, investigators said. Deputies then spent the next nine-hours searching for Little. He was arrested early Monday morning.
WBTV has learned that three kids were in the trailer when the deadly shooting took place.
Tyson was arrested Wednesday and charged with attempted murder. According to SLED, Tyson says he was in the home with Rashawn Little and Shannon Little when a "shooting occurred." Tyson said the shooting happened in the direction of Rashawn Little to get to Threatt.
Investigators say Tyson left the home and shot at the victim three times.
Investigators say there is body cam footage of the incident, but the video is in the hands of SLED, who was called in to help investigate.
Little was charged with five counts of attempted murder for allegedly shooting at deputies.
A third person, 41-year-old Luther Ray Chambers Jr, is reportedly in the hospital in stable condition.
The sheriff says he's not sure who fired the shot that hit and killed Shannon Little.
