5-6 Tart apples or any firm apple, cored and sliced
1 homemade or frozen deep dish pie shell
1 pinch cinnamon
1/2 pinch nutmeg
1 tblsp corn starch
1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts (your choice)
1/2 cup soft butter
Toss sliced apples in cinnamon, nutmeg and corn starch. Spread evenly into pie dish.
Combine all topping ingredients in a medium bowl and cut the butter in well. Cover apples with topping, being sure to get the edges.
