Recipe: Pecan Pie Kronut

Sauce

Unsalted Butter 8 ounce

Granulated Sugar 2 ounce

Brown Sugar 8 ounce

Honey 6 ounce

Heavy Cream 2 ounce

Method of Preparation

1. Gather all equipment and ingredients

2. In a sauce pan, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, honey and butter

3. Bring to a boil; continue to boil until it reaches 257° F.

4. Heat heavy cream and add slowly to the sugar mixture

5. Remove from heat

Caramelized Pecans

Granulated Sugar 4 oz

Water 4 oz

Pecans 6 oz

Method of Preparation

1. Gather all equipment and ingredients

2. in a sauce pan, combine sugar and water

3. Bring to a boil; continue to boil until it reaches 250° F

4. Place pecans in a stainless steel bowl, pour hot sugar syrup over nuts

5. Stirring until pecans are well coated

6. Let cool, then ground in food processor
