CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Morning temperatures have fallen near or below freezing in many spots, which means a lot of us could wake up to our first frost of this season this morning, mainly away from the city of Charlotte.
Despite full sunshine, highs this afternoon will be well below average again, holding in the upper 50s and low 60s (similar to yesterday).
Frost may actually be more likely for Charlotte tonight because the dew points will be higher. Even if temperatures do get to or below freezing, if the air is too dry (dew points too low) there still won't be any frost.
Temperatures then begin to moderate from Tuesday through the rest of the week ahead. With plenty of sun, highs will be back into the more seasonable low to mid 70s, with mornings back into the 40s.
Still no rain in sight... perhaps even through NEXT weekend! Right now we have a small chance of a shower (20%) getting in here later on Sunday.. as it looks like our next front will try to approach by that time. Stay tuned!
Have a Happy Monday!
