CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Cloud cover is thick this morning and there's a risk for some parting rain east of I-85 as a front is moving through the region right now.
Even if you pick up a shower, the front will clear the area before lunchtime and the sun will quickly return. Highs this afternoon will rebound into the mid to upper 70s.
Wednesday through Friday will be almost picture perfect. Highs will be in the low 70s with plenty of sun each day, lows at night will fall to the chilly 40s.
If you're waiting for cool and crisp fall weather, this weekend you'll get your wish.
It will be sunny, but highs will run below average, topping out in the low to mid 60s Saturday, and just the upper 50s on Sunday.
And this chilly shot of weather will bring the coldest air of the season with nighttime lows in the 30s across the entire WBTV viewing area.
