Local organization hoping to make you laugh for a good cause

A local organization is hoping to make you laugh for a good cause.

Scott Pacitti, Executive Director, Actor's Crib, Inc. and Leader of the Chuckleheads, stopped by WBTV News on Saturday morning.

Next week, the Chuckleheads will share laughs at their eighth birthday celebration and plan to share proceeds with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

The event takes place on Saturday, October 17 at 8:00 p.m. at Theatre Charlotte, 501 Queens Road, Charlotte, NC 28207.

Driven by passionate, grassroots volunteers connected to children, adolescents, and adults with this disease, JDRF is now the largest charitable supporter of T1D research. The goal of JDRF research is to improve the lives of all people affected by T1D by accelerating progress on the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating, and preventing T1D.  For more information on the Greater Western Carolinas' JDRF, visit www.gwc.jdrf.org.

Tickets to next week's event are $10. The doors to Theatre Charlotte will open at 7:00 p.m.
