Caldwell Co kids raise $3,000+ for WBTV's Team Molly to benefit women with breast cancer

Just got an email from the principal at Lower Creek Elementary:

"Here are our totals as of this moment:
- $3006.00 from Lower Creek Elementary
- $300.00 from Hibriten High School ...

AND... Friday night… at the HHS homecoming football game, the schools will continue to add to the total. These three Caldwell County schools will donate all that they raise to our WBTV Race for the Cure ?#‎TeamMolly. It's how the school teaches kids to help others.

OVER $3,000 given to us, to give directly to Komen Charlotte to help fight breast cancer.

LCES Principal Leigh Anne Frye says it's part of their ongoing service learning project -- every month they raise money for a variety of organizations.

Lower Creek Elementary has helped ALS, packed shoeboxes at Christmas for Samaritan's Purse, given canned food, jumped rope for the American Heart Association, donated to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society and helped a local Lenoir organization, Robin's Nest.

I wrote about their dedication to #TeamMolly two days ago >>

Tonight, I'm blown away. Three thousand dollars? All driven by elementary-aged kids?
