CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - WBTV Meteorologist Al Conklin says based on the new drought monitor just in, there is no drought in North Carolina now.

After historic rain, a vast majority of South Carolina is also out of drought status, leaving just a few areas in the state in a drought.
