Hurricane Joaquin’s track is supposed to take it well offshore, but the tropical moisture it will put on a conveyor belt and shove our way could be sizable. We will find out tomorrow morning if the Komen Charlotte Race for the Cure will have to be canceled Saturday due to the real possibility of flooding. It would serve no purpose to expose 70,000 people to risky weather, despite the hard work organizers have accomplished all year long.
The shooter at a community college in Oregon today is now identified as a 26-year old who bragged on social media last night about his murderous plans. Federal authorities now say 9 people are confirmed dead with at least 20 injured after a shooting rampage which ended with police killing the gunman. One survivor said the shooter demanded his victims state their religion before he opened fire.
