CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warrior guard who was chosen League MVP this season, is in town this week and returned to his childhood school Charlotte Christian Friday.
Curry brought along the huge NBA Championship trophy. The kids were in awe of Curry, but in typical Curry style, he was gracious and humble.
Curry was followed Friday by crews from the television show, 'ACC Kings of the Court'. 'Kings' is profiling Steph, and his family, including his dad, former Charlotte Hornet, Dell Curry.
WBTV got these photos from 'Kings of the Court' producer, Jeremy Williams. He said of Curry, "Here he is fresh off the MVP and a world championship, but his parents really taught this man to be grounded."
Following his interview with Curry today Williams said, "Steph appreciates the places he's been. But he comes back to honor the people who helped him get there." The program, 'ACC Kings of the Court' starts its new season after the New Year. Williams says a show date for the Curry family profile hasn't been set yet.
Yesterday Curry also visited Davidson College where he was a star for the Davidson Wildcats. He plans to be in town all weekend.
