Gypsy Soup Recipe: Apple Fritters

Many local farms offer apple-picking this time of year and Saturday morning, we're highlighted a recipe that spices up the fruit!
Stacey Ann from Gyspy Soup shared how she makes "Apple Fritters."

Apple Fritters 

2 cups flour 
¼ cup sugar 
2 ½ teaspoons Baking Powder 
½ teaspoon salt 
¾ cup milk 
2 eggs 
2 Tablespoons melted butter 
¼ teaspoon vanilla 
2 apples, grated 
 Oil for frying 

1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt 
2. In a medium bowl, whisk milk, eggs, butter, vanilla 
3. Make a well in the dry ingredients, stir in the milk mixture 
4. Fold in the apples, let set for 5 minutes 
5. Heat oil in a pan 
6. Drop batter by the spoonful into oil 
7. Cook for 4­5 minutes, turning as needed 
8. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce
