Police release photos of armed robbery of Charlotte business

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Armed Robbery Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in the photographs below.

Charlotte police are asking for help identifying a man they say robbed a Charlotte business at gunpoint.

The incident happened at the MC Food Mart, along Sam Wilson Road, early Monday morning around 12:30 a.m.

The clerk told police the man showed a gun and robbed the store. The man then ran away from the store. 

The clerk was not injured during this robbery.

The man is described as a black male, 30-40 years old, 5’7” tall with a thin build, and was last seen wearing a long sleeved black shirt and blue jeans.
