CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Partly to mostly cloudy on this Labor Day Monday, but despite all the clouds, the shower chance remains low, only holding around 10%. It's still on the humid side with high temperatures returning to the upper 80s.
By Tuesday, high pressure currently over the Carolinas will move enough to allow more humidity to come up from the Gulf of Mexico. The shower chance increases to around 20% as it remains variably cloudy.
An approaching cool front Wednesday into Thursday brings an even higher surge in the humidity for midweek, and will lead to numerous showers and t-storms during this timeframe. High temperatures remain in the upper 80s.
By next weekend drier air will bring a refreshing change as humidity falls back down. Highs will be in the mid 80s, possibly even low 80s by next Sunday.
Have a great Labor Day!
