Family and friends of TV shooting victims, shooter share their thoughts - New details on WBTV

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - It's going to be a tough morning at a TV station in Roanoke, Virginia, where they will go through their morning news without two of their colleagues. We continue to follow new developments in the shooting of a reporter and photojournalist there.

This morning we're hearing new interviews from family and friends of both the victims and the shooter.

In Charlotte, three people have been arrested following a police chase around the Interstate 485 inner loop early this morning.

The chase started around 3 a.m. and lasted a little over thirty minutes. Police say the car was going at speeds of up to 120 miles per hour and finally came to a stop near Oakdale Road off of Mount Holly-Huntersville Road.

We're also looking ahead to the sentencing in federal court of a Charlotte nightclub owner convicted of money laundering and tax evasion.

There's a big announcement coming from Carowinds today. We should get specifics on this park expansion they've been teasing us with since they decided to tear down Thunder Road.

And a woman in Texas says a police officer went above and beyond the call when he learned she was really nervous after a home break-in.  What he did to help, will make you smile.
