Fire damages house in Concord, no injures

CONCORD, N.C. (WBTV) - A Concord home was damaged early Saturday morning, after a fire broke out.

The Red Cross is helping the family affected by the Melrose Drive fire. The fire started just before 2 a.m. Saturday.

More than two dozen firefighters, including 4 engines, responded to the scene.

When they got there, they say flames and heavy smoke was showing from the home. It took less than 10 minutes to get the blaze under control.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
