A Caldwell County man is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine following a drug investigation.
Officials say 31-year-old Eugene Broach, suspected of manufacturing the drug, was arrested Tuesday after a "one pot" meth lab was found inside his home. Officials say they also found precursor chemicals and various materials used in manufacturing meth, along with "a small amount of finished methamphetamine."
Broach, of Oaktree Lane in Granite Falls, is charged with felonious manufacture of methamphetamine and felony maintaining a dwelling to keep or store a controlled substance.
Broach was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center and given a $50,000 secured bond. He is expected to appear in court in Lenoir Thursday.
