It’s happening! We are setting out on our journey to raise more money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and we are giving away another house! This year’s home is in Weddington, North Carolina and is once again being built by Newton Custom Homes and Realty. The building process is well underway! Crews broke ground on February 22, 2018 and are hard at work. Already so many of you have reached out to donate! Jeff Newton, owner of Newton Custom Homes and Realty announced an effort to raise even more money and you responded! So many of you donated $5 for a 2x4 to be used in the framing of the home! Even better – the sweet messages you all took the time to write on them.
This year’s home has a super cool theme, too! Superheroes.
Jeff Newton and his team say that anyone who helps a kid fighting for his/her life is -- a Superhero. We totally agree!
If you’re interested in keeping up with the home build, just check this page periodically. We’ll post updates as we go along. We will also post our stories about St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the medical staff there and the patients/families that are receiving the highest level of care. They are getting that care because of your generosity to donate to causes like the St. Jude Dream Home giveaway.
The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway is a 25-year tradition that is one of the largest single-event fundraisers for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital nationwide.
No family ever receives a bill from St. Jude, not for treatment, travel, transportation or food.
Because a majority of St. Jude funding comes from individual contributors, like you, St. Jude has the freedom to focus on what matters most - saving kids regardless of their financial situation.
St. Jude is working to drive survival rate for childhood cancer to 90% in the next decade. They won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened over 50 years ago.
