80s, increased rain chances through July 4th weekend

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Unsettled weather continues on Friday with high chances for showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures should hold in the upper 80's, right at around average for this time of the summer.

The biggest threat from the storms will be heavy rain. Flooding will be possible in localized areas - especially in the mountains.

July 4th will be variably cloudy and warm with highs in the mid to upper 80s. There's a 40% chance for thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon. We could pick up more storms on Sunday. Highs will be in the mid 80s with another 40% rain chance.

Our rain chances drop to 30% on Monday and Tuesday with highs in the mid 80s.
