Molly's Kids: Monroe girl beats cancer, graduates 8th grade with hair

MONROE, NC (WBTV) - Quick update:

has hair! Hailey was bald and beautiful when I first wrote about her last September. She survived sunovial cell sarcoma, a soft tissue tumor in her elbow.

Chemo + Radiation + Surgery = Hailey winning.

Today we celebrate Hailey for something different - she just graduated from 8th grade at Fellowship Christian School in Monroe. Her mom, Teresa, says she knows it's not as big of a deal as high school graduation but it still means a lot to her family. Last year at this time Teresa didn't think she'd see this day.

Hailey will start high school this fall on a fast track of science and math. She says she wants to become a pediatric oncology nurse.

I'll just let that talk-about-coming-full-circle-thought hang out here for a bit…
