Beneficial rain moves into the Charlotte area

The rain that moved through overnight is now long gone and we're left with a warm and muggy start this morning. Early morning temperatures will be in the mild 60s and 70s for most neighborhoods.

We will likely see some more afternoon and evening pop-up showers and thundershowers today, but Thursday will be a better bet for rain as the chance goes up to around 50 percent. Both days will be warm and humid with highs in the low to mid 80s.

By Friday, highs will stay in the mid 80s but the rain chance drops back to 30 percent. Saturday and Sunday look hot but mainly rain free, as highs jump back up into the upper 80s.
