Nationally recognized speaker coming to Salisbury for Chamber breakfast

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - The Rowan County Chamber of Commerce's next Power in Partnership (PIP) breakfast will feature a nationally recognized leadership speaker, Phillip Van Hooser, for the Leadership Rowan 2014-15 Class Graduation on Thurs., May 21, 7:30 a.m. at Trinity Oaks (728 Klumac Road). The Title Sponsor of this event is F & M Bank.

As an entrepreneur and business owner, Van Hooser understands the complexities of building, sustaining and leading a profitable enterprise. From his work in Human Resources and Safety to his experience as a leadership training expert for top U.S. companies, Van Hooser knows what it really takes to successfully lead people.

You'll find his unique brand of common sense leadership a mix of real world experience and practical examples. Since 1988, his company has provided leadership training expertise for organizations -- large and small -- while consistently experiencing double-digit growth. His clients run the gamut from Alliance Coal and Blue Bell Creameries to REEBOK and Westar Energy.

Leaders Ought To Know: 11 Ground Rules for Common Sense Leadership, Van Hooser's latest book, is a must-read handbook for leaders feeling the pressure to perform. A member of the Speaker Hall of Fame, Van Hooser has been named a "Top 5 Leadership Speaker" by Speakers Platform.

Most recently, he has been the mastermind behind a comprehensive leadership training program, Leaders Ought to Know®, which incorporates online and onsite leadership training to transform and sustain leadership growth.

This is the last PIP date for this season. There are no breakfast meetings in the summer months. The 2015-16 PIP Season will start again in September and run through May. If you are interested in obtaining a Power Card, please let us know. The Power Card is the Rowan Chamber's frequent attender program. You receive a discounted price for the series and do not have to make a reservation each month.

If you are not a Power Card holder, individual reservations are welcome; however, the reservation deadline is Tues., May 19 by 5 p.m. The cost is $15 for members and $25 for non-members.
