Casey Parsons moved to Alamance County; Sandy still in Virginia prison


The adoptive mother of missing Rowan County teenager Erica parsons has now been moved from the Forsyth County Jail to the jail in Alamance County.

Eventually Casey Parsons will be moved to a federal prison to serve ten years for defrauding the government of federal adoption assistance money that was intended to be used for Erica.

Two weeks ago Casey's husband, Sandy, who was sentenced to eight years in federal prison, was moved a prison in Farmville,Virginia.

The Virginia Department of Corrections Offender Search lists Sandy Wade Parsons as Offender #1720326.

According to the prison's website, Piedmont Regional Jail is a minimum to high-security facility located in Farmville, VA that serves the counties of Amelia, Buckingham, Cumberland, Lunenburg, Nottoway, and Prince Edward.

Casey Parsons is still listed as being at the Forsyth County Jail in Winston-Salem. That jail is often used to hold federal prisoners prior to their reassignment to permanent locations. WBTV learned on Friday that Casey Parsons had been moved to Alamance County.
