Bringle Ferry Road now set to reopen as clean up continues

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) -

N.C. Department of Transportation contractors will reopen Bringle Ferry Road while they continue environmental cleanup following an ethanol spill during a deadly tanker truck accident that occurred Thursday, April 2.

The road is expected to reopen to traffic Friday, May 1, at 5 p.m. while contractors remain on site excavating contaminated soil on private property adjacent to the roadway.

Motorists can expect delays due to flaggers controlling traffic through the work zone.

Roadway and traffic related questions may be directed to Miracle King with NCDOT at miracleking@ncdot.gov or (336) 487-0157.
