SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - A special fundraiser is going on Friday and Saturday to help two families associated with the Rowan Sheriff's Office who are dealing with cancer.
According to Sheriff Kevin Auten, two Detectives with the Rowan County Sheriff's Office are currently involved with personal battles with cancer which has strained both families financially, as they fight this disease.
Detective David Earnhardt is currently involved in a battle with cancer, and has traveled out of state for treatment. Detective Greg Bacote's wife is also involved in a fight with cancer, and is receiving treatment.
To help relieve some of the strain on these families, the Sheriff's Office CID has generously been invited to join Faith Farm and Equipment at their Open House, on April 24th and 25th. The Sheriff's Office with be selling food and drinks for the customers to help off-set the burden on these two families.
Faith Farm and Equipment has used their Spring Open House as a way to help families in need. Please come eat lunch with us and help and support these families as they begin the road to recovery.
