Kannapolis Police looking for two in connection with shooting on Monday

KANNAPOLIS, NC (WBTV) -

Kannapolis Police are looking for an unidentified man and a woman who they say shot man at a local apartment complex.

On Monday at approximately 10:39 PM, officers responded to the parking lot in front of 499 Cabarrus Arms Drive in reference to a shooting.

When they arrived, they discovered Samuel Smith sitting in the driver's seat of a white Chevrolet. Smith had with multiple gunshot wounds, according to police. Smith was initially taken to CMC Northeast and then to CMC Main where he is still receiving care for his injuries.

Witnesses stated they observed a black Ford Crown Victoria pull up next to the vehicle Mr. Smith was sitting in. Investigators say an unknown black man exited the Crown Victoria and then fired multiple shots at Mr. Smith.

The unknown man got back into the vehicle and left the area with a woman named Cierra Roseboro, according to investigators.

Based on information obtained during this investigation, police obtained a warrant for Cierra Roseboro for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

The alleged shooter who has yet to be identified remains at large.
