Sheriff hopeful teen's arrest will lead to more charges

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) -

On Wednesday, Tyler Bryan Beattie, 19, of the 300 block of Imperial Drive, Salisbury, was arrested by the Rowan County Sheriff's Office for selling heroin. 

A Rowan County Sheriff's Office undercover operative purchased 0.6 grams of heroin from Beattie on February 19, 2015; 0.8 grams of heroin on March 2, 2015; and 0.8 grams of heroin on March 12, 2015. Beattie was charged with three counts of sell/deliver heroin, three counts of possess with intent to sell/ deliver heroin, and three counts of maintaining a vehicle to keep and sell controlled substances. 

Beattie was placed under a $15,000 secured bond.

Beattie has previous convictions in Rowan County for felony possession of cocaine and carrying a concealed weapon and has a pending probation violation.
