SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - A Charlotte man had to be rushed to the hospital after investigators say he walked more than half a block after being shot Tuesday afternoon in Salisbury.
According to police, the shooting happened around 1 p.m. along North Shaver Street near Park Avenue.
Officers say after being shot the victim, later identified as 27-year-old Cordera Rayshard Brown of Charlotte, walked about a half-block down Park Avenue to a home. He then banged on the door and two men answered.
Seeing the man bleeding heavily, two men drove him to Novant Rowan Regional Medical Center. He was later transferred to Carolinas Medical Center.
His condition has not been released.
The street was closed while officials investigated the area. They talked to neighbors in an effort to get more information.
