SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) -

Traffic was rerouted in one area of Salisbury Saturday afternoon as investigators responded to a call of a "suspicious device" near the Cardinal Tire location on Statesville Boulevard.

Salisbury Police began the initial investigation, but then contacted the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad.

Part of Statesville Boulevard was blocked near Ashbrook Road and the Woodlands Creek Apartments while the situation was being handled by law enforcement.

At this point it is not known exactly what was found, but WBTV was told that there is no danger.
