LINCOLNTON, NC (WBTV) - Charges have been dismissed against a Lincoln County man accused in a sexual assault case last year.
Tyler Jordan Hall, who was 19-years-old at the time of the allegations, was initially charged with crime against nature, indecent liberties with a child and first degree sexual offense.
He turned himself in to investigators in March 2014. An 11-year-old boy alleged that an incident happened at Hall's home in November 2013.
Court documents filed February 13, 2015 show that the charge of sexual offense with a child was dismissed due to "insufficient evidence."
The documents show the boy, who brought forth the allegations, did not recall specific elements of the accusations.
The charge of crime against nature was dismissed with leave after Hall "accepted a deferred prosecution to the offense alleged," according to the court documents.
The dismissal form also notes that Hall could be recharged if he fails to complete the terms of an agreement.
The form also indicates that the indecent liberties with a child charged was dismissed with leave based on the agreement and deferred prosecution for the crimes against nature charge.
