STATESVILLE, NC (WBTV) -

Police are looking for the person they say robbed a CVS of pain medication at gunpoint Monday evening in Statesville.

Around 8:07 p.m., a white, heavy set man wearing a black ski mask and one glove, walked into the CVS at 3111 Taylorsville Highway, pulled out a gun and handed the pharmacist a note demanding pain medication.

Police say the robber displayed a black hand gun twice during the robbery. He was last seen wearing jeans, brown and green shoes, and a blue hoodie with white strings and a white zipper.

When the man demanded the medication, the employee told police they backed away from the counter and that's when the man asked the other employees to sit down on the floor. One employee complied and said the robber took the medication and fled through the emergency entrance.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call Statesville police at 704-878-3516 or Crime Stoppers at 704-662-1340.
