Belmont police looking for man who robbed Subway at gunpoint

Belmont Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect involved in an armed robbery of a Subway.

Police say the armed robbery happened at a Subway on Park Street on Friday, February 21 around 8:15 a.m.

According to police, a white man entered the store wearing a gray and black hoodie and put a black bag on the counter. When the employee came up to the counter the armed man asked him to put all of the store's money into the bag.

The suspect was reportedly armed with a hand gun and describe it as a small caliber black revolver with a wooden handle.

After taking the money, the robber told the store employee to go into the cooler. He was not hurt.

Witnesses told police that the robbery suspect left in a grey 1990's Honda Civic. The man police are looking for is described to be thin, around 5'10,” and have patchy facial hair.
