A Rowan County is in jail on a long list of charges, including stealing a car and assaulting three firefighters.
According to the report at the Rowan Sheriff's Office, John Wilburn Harmon, 29, is being held under $53,500 bond, charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, larceny of a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, assault on a government official, communicating threats, resisting police, possession of a weapon by a felon, and driving while impaired.
Harmon, of 215 Shinn Street, Rockwell, allegedly stole a Ford Taurus and a rifle on Saturday night, assaulted three members of the Franklin Fire Department, threatened another firefighter, and tried to get away from an officer as he was being arrested.
