A Rock Hill man said he was shocked when he went to use the BB&T ATM Monday afternoon and discovered a secret skimming device was hidden inside. Wesley Keenan says he was almost a victim of the device that steals credit card information until the unit actually came out in his hand.
"I called the police," Keenan said after finding the unit.
Thieves install the small "skimmer" in a card reader slot and then come back hours later to retrieve it along with numbers of victims cards.
Police were able to retrieve images of the men they believe installed the skimmers and are actively looking for them. Check out Kristen Hampton's story on WBTV News at 5 to find out more about keeping yourself from becoming a victim.
