Curious as to why schools aren't in session? Here's the evidence

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) -

Rowan-Salisbury Schools are closed for a third straight day due to the weather, and that makes four straight when you include the President's Day holiday on Monday.

Tuesday's sleet and freezing rain storm made roads slick all over Rowan County, and today, many of those roads are just as dangerous as they were on the day of the storm.

On Wednesday afternoon school officials drove out into the county and took a few pictures of what they found. Rural roads completely covered in ice that had not been touched by salt or a plow.

Rita Foil, the Public Information Officer for Rowan-Salisbury SSchoolsposted a few of the pictures just so parents could see what goes into the decision to call off school.
