SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - The 100 block of E. Innes Street in downtown Salisbury was closed for hours on Thursday morning after crews battled a fire nearby on Wednesday afternoon. The road reopened shortly before 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
The street was closed as firefighters battled the three alarm fire at the Okey Dokey & Company General Store.
No one was hurt in the fire, but damage inside the local landmark was extensive.
In an unrelated road closing, the 100 block of W. Liberty Street near the Rowan County Courthouse and Sheriff's Office was also closed due to construction.
