Tips to stay motivated on your weight loss journey

We're a little over one month into 2015 and if your resolution this year is to lose weight, you're not alone.

NASM Certified Fitness and Nutrition Specialist, Zhivi Williams, stopped by WBTV News Sunday Morning to share her tips to stay motivated on your weight loss journey.

Williams also shared information about a free "Kids' Health and Fitness Day" event coming up later this year. It'll be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at University Meadows Elementary School located at 1600 Pavilion Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28262.

Hosted and sponsored by Leading by Example, Passion Driven, and the YWCA Central Carolinas, the Kids' Health and Fitness Day is a free event for children ages 5-12 living in Mecklenburg County. This event will promote injury prevention, safety awareness, and health and wellness through a variety of activities including fitness, bike and helmet safety, and presentations on the benefits of eating healthy foods, gardening, and much more!
