Concord's Reid among 4 Spiders signing away

In a ceremony today at Concord High School, Rocky Reid, who holds the Cabarrus County career rushing record, signed the dotted line.

Reid will play football next season for Wake Forest University.

This season Reid helped lead the Spiders to the 2013-14 Southern Piedmont Conference title, by rushing for more than 3-thousand yards.

Reid believes in the program Deacs' head coach Dave Clawson is trying to build, and is thrilled he'll be playing close to home. Reid's uncle, Kenny Moore, is a former Demon Deacon and Carolina Panther.

At today's ceremony;

Denzal Gilmore (Winston-Salem State University), Tyler Thomas (UNC-Pembroke), and Chris Webb (Concord University) also signed the dotted line!
