Buttermilk Biscuits

2 1/2 cups flour

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

2 tablespoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup butter, cold

1 cup buttermilk

PREHEAT OVEN 400*

1. COMBINE DRY INGREDIENTS.

2. CUT BUTTER INTO FLOUR WITH A FORK UNTIL IT LOOKS LIKE CORNMEAL.

3. ADD MILK JUST TO COMBINE THE INGREDIENTS (DO NOT OVER MIX).

4. PLACE DOUGH ONTO A FLAT FLOURED SURFACE.

5. FOLD DOUGH INWARD GENTLY (ABOUT 4-5 TIMES).

6. PAT DOUGH FLAT UNTIL ABOUT 1 INCH THICK

7. CUT DOUGH USING CUTTERS.

8. PLACE ON COOKIE SHEET AND BAKE FOR 10-12 MINUTES ( OR UNTIL GOLDEN)

9. LET COOL 5 MINUTES THEN SERVE
