Warrant: Abuse to children include beatings

Breaking overnight: One man had to be rushed to the hospital after a shooting in Charlotte. It happened near the Plaza and Harris Boulevard. Witnesses are coming forward to say what they saw. WBTV's Mark Davenport has those details. Watch for his live report at 5:02 a.m.

NEW details: We're staying on top of that case where a mother and her relative are in jail for allegedly abusing the woman's four children. We've been telling you about the police saying the children were starved. In a new search warrant we're going to tell you about this morning, at least one of kids had scars from being beaten. The details are heartbreaking. WBTV's Ashton Pellom will tell us what else he found in the warrant in his live report.

SNOW on the ground has not been that delightful for some states. We have video from Nebraska where cars are skidding out of control. We know this morning another arctic blast is forecasted for next week.
